The Delegates Assembly is MVP's annual gathering where member institutions come together to shape the direction of our organization. It's the place where we report on what we've accomplished, make decisions about where we're headed, and strengthen relationships across our network.
At its core, the Assembly reflects what makes MVP different: we are owned and operated by our member institutions, not a small group of leaders. When you attend as a delegate, you have a real voice in ratifying our budget, approving our strategic priorities, and nominating leadership. That's what it means to be a member-led organization—the decisions are yours to make.
What to Expect on February 4th
This year's Assembly will be held from 1-4 PM at the Community Classroom on the second floor of the Glenwood Springs Library.
Here's what we'll be doing together:
Connecting with other leaders through one-on-one conversations to build relationships across institutions
Learning together through a training led by our Lead Organizer on a key organizing practice
Making decisions on MVP's 2026 budget and strategic initiatives, including the Cavern Springs campaign, CECE District community engagement, and creating a mental health professional pipeline
Shaping our leadership through nominations for the Steering Committee and Institutional Leaders Caucus
Expectations for Delegates
Each institution should send at least 2 delegates to the Assembly, but more are encouraged. To fully participate in decision-making, institutions must be current on their dues.
Because we'll be ratifying MVP's 2026 budget, delegates should come prepared to discuss their institution's dues commitment for the coming year. Each institution will be asked publicly what dues they plan to pay. This isn't meant to put anyone on the spot or shame anyone—it's how we practice transparency and shared ownership over our work together. There will be time during the Assembly for institutions to caucus and discuss internally, and we understand that a final commitment may not always be possible that day. But the closer delegates can come to a commitment beforehand, the better.

If you're part of an institution that isn't yet a member but you're interested in learning more about who we are and how we work, you're welcome to attend as a guest. While guests won't participate in voting or decision-making, the Assembly is a great opportunity to get a feel for MVP—to see our leaders in action, experience how we make decisions together, and get a sense of whether a deeper relationship might be right for your institution.

La Asamblea de Delegados es la reunión anual de MVP donde las instituciones miembro se unen para dar forma a la dirección de nuestra organización. Es el lugar donde informamos sobre lo que hemos logrado, tomamos decisiones sobre hacia dónde vamos y fortalecemos las relaciones en toda nuestra red.
En su esencia, la Asamblea refleja lo que hace diferente a MVP: somos propiedad de nuestras instituciones miembro y operados por ellas, no por un pequeño grupo de líderes. Cuando asistes como delegado, tienes una voz real en la ratificación de nuestro presupuesto, la aprobación de nuestras prioridades estratégicas y la nominación de liderazgo. Eso es lo que significa ser una organización dirigida por sus miembros—las decisiones son tuyas.
Qué esperar el 4 de febrero
La Asamblea de este año se llevará a cabo de 1 a 4 PM en el Community Classroom en el segundo piso de la Biblioteca de Glenwood Springs.
Esto es lo que haremos juntos:
Conectar con otros líderes a través de conversaciones uno a uno para construir relaciones entre instituciones

Tomar decisiones sobre el presupuesto de MVP para 2026 y las iniciativas estratégicas, incluyendo la campaña de Cavern Springs, la participación comunitaria del Distrito CECE y la creación de un programa para profesionales de salud mental
Formar nuestro liderazgo a través de nominaciones para el Comité Directivo y el Caucus de Líderes Institucionales
Expectativas para los delegados
Cada institución debe enviar al menos 2 delegados a la Asamblea, aunque se anima a enviar más. Para participar plenamente en la toma de decisiones, las instituciones deben estar al corriente con sus cuotas.
Debido a que ratificaremos el presupuesto de MVP para 2026, los delegados deben venir preparados para discutir el compromiso de cuotas de su institución para el próximo año. A cada institución se le preguntará públicamente qué cuotas planean pagar. Esto no tiene la intención de poner a nadie en aprietos ni avergonzar a nadie—es cómo practicamos la transparencia y la responsabilidad compartida sobre nuestro trabajo juntos. Habrá tiempo durante la Asamblea para que las instituciones se reúnan y discutan internamente, y entendemos que un compromiso final puede no siempre ser posible ese día. Pero cuanto más cerca puedan llegar los delegados a un compromiso de antemano, mejor.
